Revelations of Resolutions

Hey Guys! Long time no talk!!!! First of all let me say, Happy 2015 and I hope your first 2 days of the new year have been interesting (the good kind). Next thing I want to ask is, does anyone have any resolutions this year? For most, resolutions are considered the most annoying and unrealistic thing a person can do in the new year, but is it really that intangible? Why is it so impossible for us to try and change certain parts of ourselves? Myself for example, was indeed one of those people who believed that new year resolutions were beyond unrealistic or lack of better term "Ain't Nobody Got Time For That"!!! However, I'm starting to realize theres nothing really wrong with resolutions, there are lots of people that make them and indeed follow through. There's no need to hate on resolutions, when we're the ones that just need to get better at keeping them ... or at least making realistic ones.
Some of mine are: Being more upfront/vocal about things, BLOG MORE, and lastly not to be so hard on myself. All of which may just take the whole year for me to accomplish, but no one ever said there was a time frame! What I've decided to do is to make all of my resolutions visible and you can to!! Here's some tips that you can try. If you already know about them Great!! thats half the battle, but if not try some of these things out!!

1) Write out your dreams/aspirations

Sure that seems a little weird, but honestly how weird is it? Michael Jordan DREAMED of being a NBA player, he didn't get there by waving a magic wand ... or a secret tunnel that leads him to bugs bunny!

2) Make a Vision Board

Now this can also be a alternative to #1 if this better suits your fancy. A vision board, is pretty self-explanatory its YOUR VISION!!! Whatever goal or dream you have put it up on a poster board, wall, screen saver, or where ever your going to look at it and see it the most! You can put whatever you want on your vision board. Magazine or news paper articles, things that inspire you, places that you want to visit, even a house you want to buy in the future! It can be one thing, or take up a whole wall in your room. As long as it motivates you and pushes you to put your best foot forward, it goes up there.

3) Keep a timeline of your accomplishments

Sometimes, when things don't go our way (points to self) we begin to doubt ourselves and think that whatever goal we are trying to reach is unattainable. Keeping a timeline reminds you that yea, s**t kinda sucks right now, but WOW I've come a long way. Once again you can do this however you like. Whether it be pictures from different events or just simply writing it down in a notebook or ipad.

4) Pace Yourself

Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail. We are in the age of instant gratification, but I'm sorry to inform you that nothing permanent happens over night. You might get frustrated, but trust the process. Besides, I'm told the best part of the journey, is the ride there.

5) BELIEVE

Literally the most important thing on this list!! If you don't believe you can do something how on earth are you going to convince someone else. Confidence is key, it may take you a while to get there, but once you do it makes a world of a difference.

I hope these tips helps you guys just like they're helping me!! Let me know how it works! Or if you guys have any tips that you use, put em' down here. LET RESOLUTIONS RING!!!!!
Till next time!

xoxo
